1. What is the tower?

The Tower is a spring loaded piece of apparatus that helps with strength, stretch endurance and increasing flexibility. It's a form of resistance training. It's like using weights but with springs instead. Some forms of Pilates call it a spring board. Traditionally we call it a Tower

2. Will pilates help me tone my muscles?​
​
Absolutely! Pilates uses resistance training to strengthen your muscles and create long lean muscles.

3. Will pilates help me lose weight?
​
Yes. Pilates can help you lose weight. Every body is different therefore, some people lose weight faster than others. Pilates is more about alignment, strength and flexibility. The weight loss is a bonus.

3. How many times a week do I need to do pilates to lose weight?
That depends on your body. Some people will lose weight doing Pilates twice a week and some people may need Pilates three or four times a week. If you are active outside of Pilates, then twice a week will be beneficial. If you do no other activities and are not active and your goal is weight loss, then like all other forms of exercise, you will need to do Pilates three or four times 3 a week. If you are very active outside of Pilates, adding one Pilates class a week can make a world of difference.

2. Do you help me with my fitness goals?
​
Of course we can help you with your fitness goals as they pertain to exercise. Pilates is a full body workout. If you are interested in working very specific areas of your body, then you are welcomed to work one on one with any of our instructors. If you are looking for nutritional information, we can recommend other practitioners in the area.
